How much notice do you need?
For Weddings, as soon as possible! Dates get booked up fast and I would hate to miss you!! I pride myself on giving each couple an exceptional cake from taste to design, so I only take on 2-3 cakes per week.
I suggest a minimum of 6-8 months prior to the event date. This also allows time to receive a tasting box which is only done four to five times a year and cannot be custom made.
Rush orders need a MINIMUM of 7 days notice depending on availability with an additional fee. Rush orders must be paid, in full, on the day of order, no exceptions.
Do you require a deposit?
Weddings require a non-refundable $400 deposit to reserve and book the date which will be applied to the final balance.
Events such as birthdays, showers ,etc. require payment in full upon booking to reserve the date.
Do you Deliver?
Yes! Delivery is mandatory for cake orders larger than one tier and for ALL wedding cakes regardless of size.
Delivery fee is $2.00/mile roundtrip based on distance from our location.
We deliver throughout Southern California.
Cake Delivery is not for the faint of heart. It is highly recommended on hot days to have your cake delivered to prevent any damage. Also, in the case of a cake emergency, I am there on site to properly fix it and no one deserves that amount of stress!
Can I pick up my cake?
You may only pick up your cake if it is a single tier and is completed at the bakery. While we do everything we can to ensure our cakes travel safely, once the cake has left the bakery, we are no longer responsible for any damage to the cake.
Can my florist add flowers onto my cake?
Due to food safety and insurance reasons I do not allow anyone else to dress the cake. The finishing touches often complete the design and it is something I really take pride in. I am more than happy to work with your florist and have them supply your florals prior to the event.
Do you bake from scratch?
Absolutely! Everything we make is made in house, from scratch! With lots of love.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Yes, we offer cake tasting boxes with 8 of our signature flavors for pre-order four to five times per year. This is the only time to taste our cakes so stay updated on our Instagram page @teehancakedesign for tasting box pre sales!
Do you offer cupcakes or cake pops?
Unfortunately I do not!
Do you offer refunds?
All custom sales are final.
No refunds will be given with orders up to 14 days prior to pick up date, this also includes any holiday specials/cookies.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements?
Unfortunately all baked goods are made in a home kitchen where nuts, gluten, eggs, dairy and soy are present.
